I do not know this bird at all. Maybe living in Central Africa and central France I am not lightly to if they live by the sea:-) I love the depth of the water behind them. Diane

Water birds are always a delight because they seem to gather in big numbers and stay still long enough for a photo.
The water looks a little rough and the terrain a bit steep. Nice photo!
Somehow, birds in a row always remind me of musical notes. The sea behind them is the melody.
The unusual head/beak shapes make them look almost like cartoons. Fascinating as always.
