I love these critters, though I don't think I'd want to get too close to one. Great fun to watch, though. The only ones I've seen were off the coast of Carmel in California.
By the way, we did a 4,000 mile round-trip to Colorado to visit our daughter. Took a couple of photos. Got another blog (Yikes!) to post them. You can check it out here (but I know I've got way too many blogs so don't feel as if you have to comment!):

Seals are especially interesting when they performing tricks, but cuter still when they're jut lying there sunning themselves.

I have seen the territorial males fighting and they can be so vicious.

Get close to a group of sea lions like this and they're an assault on the nose!
