Yikes...these are very strange creatures, but they are very good, too, 'cause they eat lots of nasty little critters. Most bats I've known, though, stay hidden during the day and come out at night.

Well, that's not entirely true. I had a couple of old bats as teachers in elementary school!

(Thanks for the comment re my comment re god and gold. And yes, we could have a good and very long conversation on those issues. Maybe someday?)
