Believe it or not hyraxes are closely related to elephants.

What a view the little hyrax has! I've never heard of a hyrax and by looking at it would have thought it was related to a bunny or squirrel. How fascinating that it is more closely related to an elephant! Nature and it's wondrous creations. This little fellow seems to have it pretty good! Fabulous shot JM!

He sure has a lovely view from there Jose but maybe a bit too windy at times. No wonder they like sitting soaking up the sun like that. :)

That's a stretch for me, José... a hyrax related to elephant? ... but your capture of it is perfect.

How great to see one in the wild. I was lucky enough to grow up near two world-class zoos, so I remember them fondly from when I was young.
