The Closest I've Been To A Lion

It was really hot! Three lions came to rest in the shadow of our jeep. I could have touched this one if I have stretched my arm through the window. :-)

Look at the size of that paw. Yowzer. Lucky you to be right there. How strong was the temptation to touch? MB

EE!! look at the size of those paw pads!! Would have loved to have seen the claws out. (probably better for you that they weren't!) Lovely as always!

Oh my goodness...I think I'd pee in my pants if I was ever that close. Not out of fear......from excitement and the privilege of being so close!! Wow!!!!

Texas Zoo in Victoria is my Camera Critters this week!! I hope to see that you can visit with me also.

OMG! It feels as if I could reach out my own arm and give that tan fur a touch. Good thing they were hot and not hungry! Truly amazing.

Fantastic. I love it, finding shade beside the jeep and going to sleep. They are obviously accustomed to humans and our various contraptions.

Oh how lovely!! On the trip with Gaelyn in March, the one was standing right by her window so she managed to get some nice shots of it too. :)

I got bitten by a lion once, but thankfully he was only about 6 weeks old, and I just got a scratch :-)
