Maybe somebody can read the droppings :-)
Fascinating to find a bird in a place like that. Great photo.
You certainly have a sharp eye! How sweet!
Great that you saw it, but I guess the droppings were a bit of a give away! Lovely shot. Diane
Appropriately it looks like a House Sparrow making good use of an available space.
JM,
How you keep topping yourself week after week is amazing. I was definetly fooled by the Jesus Lizard, I kept looking for a face in there somewhere. Walks on water, of course! The temple sparrow(?)is classic and I'm delighted to see Trigger fish in the wild instead of in the fish tank. Bravo! ;-)WBW
I wonder how many birds have perched there down the years lol A great image.
hihihi.... bem apanhado!
Wonderful image!
Fantastic shot! I wonder how far back into history that little bird's tunnel goes--
What a great eye you have! Such a cool shot. Obviously this bird has called the temple home for some time what with all that white stuff dripping down the wall.
What a fun shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Doesn't take much for them to find a place to nest, does it?
What a great shot.
Agree with Frank on the ID; a somewhat cheeky House Sparrow lol
. . . and still inhabited. I wonder, are they the descendants of the original owners?
Hey this is great. Birds find any space available and use it. Perfect!! MB
agreed its a House sparrow.... how appropriate is that!!
I am sure there is a funny caption in this image for a photo competition somewhere!!
Nice one
Dave
:) beautiful image! regards
It's obvious: that's been a homestead for generations :-)
Excellent !
That is amazing! One's eye goes first to the little bird and then you realize exactly where it is emerging from and the scene becomes so incredibly unique.
Now that's just about the most unusual place I have ever seen a Sparrow! A bit grander than the the bush in the garden where my local ones hang out.

Old life and new life side by side. Great shot!

Your words with this pic: A real success for a FABULOUS PUBBLICITY!!!!
I LOVE IT!!
ciao ciao elvira
I wish I had taken this! The composition of the juxtaposition of rock to feather, old to new, etc. is just outstanding. GREAT!
