The fist picture is a dream where thousands of birds are happily foraging for food. The second shows reality of dead birds strewn about on a sulphuric lake. Spectacular photos!!!
Oh My Gosh. I can't believe how many flamingos are there. That's awesome! The panorama really does the scale and scope justice. They will love this over at World Bird just as much as I do. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the only picture from Lake Bogoria, Kenya!

Love that pink tinge across the water. There must have been a huge number of flamingos, it looks almost like an island of them. Diane

A colony of birds like that is wonderful. Nice photos.
ooo aaah ... I would love to see that sight.
Like WOW! What a view!
Almost too many to take in.
Are their numbers declining or is that just scaremongering?
Amazing paradise!
Numbers like this are barely conceivible. Fascinating as always JM. ;-)WBW
Now that is a fandango of Flamingos. MB

I can't imagine seeing this many birds at one time... Awesome.
Stunning wide angle. Great capture of the 'habitat' and habits of these birds.
