One might think the Great Rift Valley was brought to you by Coke!

I don't believe I have ever seen advertisement on a national [monument] sign.

How interesting its signature, life, time, place. A thoughtful picture indeed. Please have a good Thursday.

that is a little sad that even in the wild you cannot escape advertising.

Hmmm. Coke and McDonald's are just about everywhere, aren't they?

At least the view is amazing, coke or not :-) But cool sign!

That is too much. Good grief. What a way to try to make a buck!

No surprise there. I have seen it in the remotest places before. Wonder if it's already in the moon!
Spectacular picture of Africa! Cheers!

Yep them and MacDonalds. Great scenery.

Though I do agree with Salman Rushdie who I read described Coke as "Nectar of the Gods," perhaps juxtaposing one great creation against another is not always a winning proposition. At least it's not an enormous digital sign like we are seeing cropping up around here lately. But it does make for a thought provoking and excellent photograph! The scene beyond the sign is truly epic!

Yuck, is there anywhere that Coke and Malboro haven't left their paw prints? Super photo for the sign meme. I need to dig some out from my archives too...
