Fantastic photos. Are there two different kinds there? The darker ones have a much bigger boss then the red coloured ones. Diane

I would have sworn that first entry was a painting...are these film shots? The depth of color is very much like film not digital...

I see the big herds are back again. With the bovine TB they were kind of scarce for a while until they brought in TB free ones and they could start multiplying once again.

This is the first time I understand why the animals we see here in Asia are called water buffalo. They sure look like cousins. I learned on another blog a few weeks ago that North America really has no buffalo (bison are misnamed), despite the famous song. And look at bison, of course, I saw no resemblance. Wonderful shots.
