Have never heard of a hyrax. But then again there are lots of animals in Australia that I have never seen or know the name of.

I love these little guys they are so cute. When we camped at the Storm River in the Cape RSA there were hundreds of them around. Good capture. Diane

Okay, I had to look this one up. Never heard of a hyrax. Looks like a cross between a beaver and a rabbit! :-)

Actually, it's rather cute. I think, though, they're found only in Africa, right?

I like the name of the park, Hell's Gate. Those references are so dramatic. But the hyrax looks anything but hellish. I have to say this critter looks very cute and content!

Another little creature I've never even heard of. How long were you in Kenya? You seem to have an endless source of animal shots, Jose... and I don't imagine one sees a hyrax every day!
