@Jacob: This small island is a bird sanctuary where visits are very controlled. Birds are so used to people that they feel perfectly safe when you get this close.
Hi there - this is a bird I have wanted to see for a long time - they are found here, but only much further north - I suppose that's what holidays are for!

My first comment would be a question: How did you get so close to these birds? Or did you have a very long lens? They're beautiful!
Fantastic photo to get them together like that. Diane

Great close ups!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Lovely to be able to get so close to the birds like this.
Stunning photo of these beauties.
Tropic birds! They seem very contented in their haven.
JM, when will we get to read some reminiscence of your travels?
Cheers to you Sir!
Charming photo, JM!

Great to have them so close.
Beautiful, just very beautiful. Great work.
Birds have such lovely clean lines ... real elegance.
Much prefer nature to the America's Cup :-)
They may feel comfortable, you say, JM, but to me it looks like she's giving you the eye for disturbing a private moment! LOL!
