Ooops, hope the penguin and baby survived the visitor. Diane
They did, Diane! :-)
Great capture and nice to hear no harm was done.
Were the babies really at risk? Well the big big did look menacing.Hope you're having the loveliest holidays! Many thanks for your patience, and for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
Wild! I can not conceive standing there watching a showdown like this go down. You have experienced some crazy things JM but this is way weird! Awesome as always!
That is a tough situation for mother penquin...is she tough enough to protect herself and her chick? Scary!Makes me think "intelligent design" leaves something to be desired...
Good photos of nature in action. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I've been trying to come up with just the right word for you photos and I think I finally have it-fascinating!
Great capture of a heart in the mouth moment.Glad they survived.
Yes Very fascinating indeed. MB
An unusual combination of birds here.
What a great capture of these 2 species in the same frame!! Thanks for sharing!
Great capture of Rhea stalking penguin chick. Would you have gone to the rescue if the chick was being attacked? I can't stand to watch evolution at work and would jump in. Nature can take its course when I am not looking.
Wow, that must have been an interesting confrontation. Nice capture!
