That is fabulous! It looks as if you were very close indeed.
Definitely a great spot to hide - and it seems cool in the shade. Magnificent creature but best viewed, I think, exactly where he is unless you are safely at a distance or protected in some way.
As always, I'm in awe that you've seen in person what we see in pictures.
